is this a good 9/11 story?
As millions of people around the world took a moment of silence and bowed their heads to remember the tragic event of 9/11, so did all of the Strawberry Crest family. Eight years ago, on the morning of September 11, 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial jet airliners. The airliners were intentionally crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York. Within hours, both buildings collapsed killing thousands and destroying other nearby buildings. Hijackers crashed a third plane into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. The fourth plane crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania. There were no survivors from any of the flights. Including the 19 hijackers, 2,993 people died in the planes and the World Trade Center. More than 90 countries lost citizens in the attacks on the World Trade Center. 411 emergency workers who responded to the scene died, risking their lives, in the attempt to rescue people and fight fires. Weeks after the attack the estimated death toll was over 6,000. To show that we remember, the football team and auxiliary team lined both sides of Gallagher Road, the main entrance to Strawberry Crest, and waved flags to honor those fallen heroes and citizens. Small Americans flags also lined the sidewalk on Gallagher Road all the way up to the school. Strawberry Crest lowered our flag to half mask to show our respect and sorrow. The most touching moment of the day was when the principal’s voice came across the intercom. In every room, we all listened solemnly as Dan Brown shared a few words and figures about 9/11. Dan Brown asked us to all stand and give a moment of silence. At 8:53, the time the attacks took place eight years ago, the almost 1,300 people at Strawberry Crest High School stood and bowed their heads. A silence fell upon the school as we all remembered what happened eight years ago. We remembered then. We remember now. And we will never forget.

It's a good start, but should be more third person. Who is Dan Brown and what did he say? You should talked to some of the people standing along the side of the road.
